As Knights of Columbus, we are called to serve our family and our God. Our first principle is Charity, at home with our families an in our communities. This is a critical part of our Knights of Columbus mission. Have you ever wondered, “How can I make my community better?” Individuals can do great things on their own byt there is something bigger than self when Knights of Columbus members come together as one through their council and accomplish great things. For more information on Community programs visit KofC.org/community.
One of our flagship events held every year is a both at the Yukon Czech Festival. The festival is held on the first Saturday of October in our home town of Yukon, Oklahoma. A majority of migrants from then Czechoslovakia settled in the area with their families. Council 6478 takes great pride in the sausage sandwiches we sell each year at the Czech Festival as one of our largest fundraisers. These fundraisers provide financial support for our many programs offered to our church and community at not cost.
