Higher Purpose
Today, a man’s work follows him home through his smartphone. At the same time, he is picking up a larger share of household responsibilities and striving to meet the intense demands of fatherhood as kids’ activities accelerate. Despite this, many men want to express their faith by working alongside peers in service to others. They want to spend precious free time with their families while also building bonds of fraternity that last a lifetime.
As leaders and brother Knights, we are excited about men’s desire to serve. We relish the opportunity to continuously adapt to the demands of a changing world and the needs of future members. We know that demonstrating our faith through service is as powerful as it is rewarding. This calling is a fundamental part of the Order’s history and the genesis for our program model. Faith in Action.
Council 6478 Faith in Action Programs
- RSVP (Refund Support Vocation Program)
- Through this program Council 6478 regularly supports those who have chosen to pursue formation in religious vocations such as seminarians and postulates. We “adopt” our seminarians or religious with financial support, moral support and prayers.
- Into the Breach
- In a video series inspired by Bishop Olmsted’s inspirational letter to the Knights of Columbus councils prayerfully examine the crisis of religious faith in our world. For more information on the series visit KofC.org/intothebreach
- Pilgrim Icon Program
- Several opportunities have made this program possible as the Knights of Columbus inspire communal acts of prayer and devotion. We have been blessed to have the Incorrupt Heart of Saint John Vianney, the Silver Rose and the Icon of St. Joseph. More information about this program is available at kofc.org/pilgrimicon
