Frank J. Kastl, 87, was born Apr. 11, 1918 in Yukon, the son of the late Joseph & Frances M. Kastl and passed from this life on Feb. 10, 2006 in Abilene, TX. A WWII Veteran in the Army Corp. of Engineers, Frank was a graduate of OSU in Electrical Engineering. He was a faithful member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, and the Knight of Columbus. Three years ago he was still farming wheat on the farm owned by the Kastl family for over 100 years. Frank was a polio survivor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Frances M. Kastl, brothers, Albin, Jim, John and Leonard Kastl and sister Rose Kastl. Frank is survived by his children, David Kastl, John Kastl, Steven Kastl, Kathy Walsh and Ann Marie Strauss; former wife, Helen Kastl; sister, Lillian and grandchildren.
