Melchiorre "Mike" Fina left this world June 20, 2002 to be with the Lord and to be reunited with his loving wife Josephine Landolina Fina. Mike was preceded by his parents George Fina and Grace Galbo Fina, brother, Antone Fina and sisters, Celia Zaranti, Sara Lupo Panfillo and Mary Fina, daughters JoAnn Fina and infant daughter. Mike was born in Sicily and lived in Chicago, IL, until moving to OKC in the summer of 1955. Mike and Josephine owned and operated Mike's Shoe Service in Reding Shopping Center. Mike's family was an active part of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, which he helped construct. An avid golfer, Mike belonged to Walnut Creek and Surrey Hills country Clubs. One of his fondest memories was making a hole in one at Walnut Creek. Mike and Josephine moved to Piedmont in 1984, at which time they became members of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. Mike is survived by one brother, Louis Fina, sister-in-law Helen Fina, son George C. Fina and wife Barbara, daughter Grace Payne and husband Don, daughter Carmella Gilbert and Husband John and 12 grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Rosary services were held at the Yanda & Son Chapel. With Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church, OKC. With Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of St. Ann's Nursing Home and their loving care of Mike.
