Obituary For Robert Francis Hoehner
Robert 'Bob' Francis Hoehner was a charter member of Council 6478. He passed away Jan, 2, 2004, at his home in Yukon. He was born on Oct. 26, 1940, in Okarche, OK, to William & Genevieve Hoehner. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1958 and later attended El Reno Jr. College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in accounting. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1958 to 1965 as Yeoman, 1st Class. He married Kathy Pletka on Aug. 16, 1961, whom he met at a Czech Hall Dance in Yukon, OK. After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Coast Guard, he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service, Dahl Heat & Air and later became the office manager for St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church until his retirement. He was a member of The Catholic Order of Foresters, Knights of Columbus Council 6478, and the Father Stanley Rother 4th Degree Assembly where he served as Grand Knight and District Deputy. Bob had many interest including being involved with Boy Scout Troop 390, where he once served as Scout Master, volunteering as a Religious Education Teacher and computer instructor at St. John's. He enjoyed carpentry, camping, fishing, golf and his garden. He also served on numerous committees at St. John Nepomuk Parish where he was a member for 39 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; 4 children, Frank of Yukon, Steve & wife Kim of Edmond, Mike & wife Cindy of OKC, OK and Diane Miller & husband Rowdy of Yukon; 8 grandchildren, Drew, Holly, Trey, Chase & Shane Hoehner and Jacob, Abby & Nicholas Miller; 2 aunts, Marie Liebl & Elizabeth Hoehner both of Okarche, OK; 2 brothers, Don & wife Janet of Yukon and David & wife Susan of Piedmont; sister, Elizabeth Ann King & husband Aaron of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters in law, Suzanne & husband David Hall of Grand Ridge, FL, Christine Pletka & Herb Kempf of Gloversville, N.Y. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren and friends. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support. Special thanks to Mission Hospice, especially to Mary Kaye Mitchell & Bobby Blackowl.
